PANJIM: Goa Forward Party (GFP) has objected to the advertisement released by Goa University wherein GU has withdrawn the condition of 15 years domicile and knowledge of Konkani compulsory for jobs in Goa University.
In a statement, Goa Forward Party General Secretary Mohandas Lolayekar questioned whether the university has sought permission to make these changes in the recruitment rules.
Goa Forward Party will take up the issue with the Director of Higher Education and even the Chief Minister.
Lolyekar said the employment scenario in the State is alarming and the government should try and secure every employment opportunity to the sons of the soil.
He urged the Goa University Vice Chancellor to immediately withdraw the advertisement in the interest of Goem, Goemkar and Goemkarponn.
