PONDA: Goa Forward Party Vice President Durgadas Kamat on Tuesday informed that the party’s working president and senior leader has approved to dissolve its Ponda Block Committee with immediate effect and also expelled its leader Rajesh Verenkar alleging anti-party activities.

Kamat alleged that following complaints of some panch members involved in campaign of BJP Zilla Parishad candidate, the Disciplinary Committee of the party took the decision after going through the matter.
He said, “The party can grow only through discipline. We will soon declare new block committee for the party to carry forward the work of party in Ponda Taluka.”
When contacted, Verenkar rejected the allegations that he worked for the BJP and said he resigned from the party for party showing no confidence.
“When the party had not contested the ZP elections, the question of anti-party activities doesn’t arise,” he added.
