Goa Forward Party (GFP) President Vijai Sardesai took strong exception to the State propaganda of promoting its ‘Green Zone’ tag when not even 1% of the population has been tested; which he said induced a false sense of security to its citizenry and caused demonization of returning Goemkars from out of the Goa/India including seafarers as “carriers of the virus”. He made this statement before Goa reported positive cases on Wednesday evening. He lamented that the Vande Bharat repatriation mis is yet to include Goa airport as a point of entry. Reminding the govt that it is duty bound to ensure the safety and health of citizens within and outside Goa, Sardesai said GFP would be forced to move the High Court if the govt does not make clear its plan of action to rescue and repatriate stranded Goans.
