PANJIM: The Goa Housing Board (GHB) building at Porvorim will be demolished to construct a new eight-storey building.
The GHB in its meeting held recently resolved to demolish the existing two-storey building and to construct eight-storey complex there.
According to information available from the GHB sources, the process of demolishing the building has been completed and demolition will start in April next year since the current premises will be required to erect two polling booths of Porvorim Constituency in the upcoming Assembly elections.
The old building will be demolished in April next year and a complex entirely offices which will be given to the government. The top floor will be occupied by the GHB.
