PONDA: Samiksha Uday Palekar, 18, from Sada-Vasco drowned at Farm Water Park on Sunday afternoon at around 1.15 pm.
A 6-member group from Sada went for a picnic at Khandepar, where Samiksha and two other girls were playing in swimming pool. However, the victim accidentally fell from the slider and drowned in the water.
She was immediately rushed to Sub-District Hospital at Ponda, but doctors on duty declared her brought dead. Samiksha had recently passed 12th exam.
