Give 100% reservation to Goans in private jobs using Haryana Govt Act, says Vijai

Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai called on Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to give 100% reservations to Goans based on the Haryana Govt Act by using the domicile clause. Chief Minister and Labour Minister Atanasio Babush Monserrate agreed to collect data on employment in private companies by suing the Labour Act, the Factories and Boilers Act and the Employment Exchange act when opposition benches scoffed at the idea that the Labour Department did not have data about employment details in private factories.

At present there are 1,16,000 persons registered at the Goa Employment Exchange and govt has been able to give only 115 govt jobs from 2019 to 2022 and 1749 private jobs have been given to Goans. The government admitted that it was not possible to find out how many of those registered at the employment exchange had government private or even government jobs.
