vasco: Many members of the Goyant Kollso Naka (GKN) group and villagers from Cansaulim and Velsao were part of an awareness rally held on Thursday evening in the village of Velsao-Pale-Issorcim. The rally saw people travel in vehicles, holding banners, shouting slogans that conveyed their strong opposition to the proposed double tracking and coal transportation in Goa and stressed on the need to protect the State from the destruction such projects can have on their health and heritage structures.
This was in continuation of the rallies and awareness meetings held in nieghbouring villages recently.
