PANJIM: The Goa Medical College and Hospital on Saturday achieved the milestone by administering COVID-19 vaccine to over 1000 health workers through seven sessions held so far. Since January 16, over 2300 health workers have vaccinated with Covishield during the ongoing first phase.
As per the statement issued by GMC, on Friday, GMC Dean Dr Shivanand Bandekar and Nodal officer COVID Dr Jagadish Cacodcar were among those vaccinated.
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane appreciating the GMC team announced to add two more units as dedicated vaccination sites within the hospital. Currently, there are two units. HoDs, consultants, resident doctors, medical and paramedical students, administrative and clerical staff were among those vaccinated so far.
