PANJIM: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders from Goa have welcomed re-election of Amit Shah as party’s national president, expressing confidence of wining 2017 elections under his leadership.
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza, Member of Parliament Narendra Sawaikar, Goa unit President Vinay Tendulkar and others were in Delhi to be part of election process.
Goa was amongst the 20 states which had supported candidature of Shah during the election held in Delhi on Sunday morning.
Speaking to Herald, D’Souza said that it was a unanimous decision by 17 states including Goa to re-elect Shah as party’s National president. “He has done a commendable job and it was unanimously decided to give him another opportunity,” he said.
