The Directorate of Education (DoE) has directed all schools in Goa to obtain prior approval before permitting any external individual or organisation to conduct seminars, lectures, workshops or awareness programmes on their campuses.
The circular was issued following inputs from the Special Branch, which raised concerns over activities allegedly linked to the Student Islamic Organization of India (SIO) in educational institutions.

Under the new guidelines, schools have been instructed to submit details of the proposed speakers and the content or script of their presentations for approval before the event. Institutions have also been asked to maintain records of all such programmes, ensure adequate supervision during the sessions, and promptly report any suspicious activities to the concerned authorities.
The Directorate has warned that failure to comply with the directive may result in disciplinary action against the concerned educational institution or officials. The move is aimed at strengthening oversight of external activities conducted in schools and ensuring that educational programmes adhere to prescribed norms.
