The Goa government has constituted an Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) to strengthen coordination among various law enforcement stakeholders and intensify efforts to curb drug trafficking in the state.
The task force will be headed by an Inspector General of Police (IGP) and will function under the overall supervision of the Director General of Police (DGP). Its formation is aimed at ensuring better intelligence sharing, coordinated operations and effective enforcement against narcotics-related offences.

The ANTF comprises Superintendents of Police from multiple key divisions, including the Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC), North Goa, South Goa, Kushavati, Crime Branch, Konkan Railway, Coastal Police and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).
Officials said the task force will work as a unified platform to tackle the drug menace, focusing on dismantling trafficking networks and preventing the spread of narcotics across the state.
The move underscores the government’s commitment to adopting a coordinated and robust approach to combat drug-related crimes and safeguard public health and safety.
