PANJIM: The Goa Government spent a whopping Rs 3.22 crore on the Save Soil public interaction with Spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev that was held on August 23, 2022 in Goa at the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium in Taleigao. The information was furnished to Activist Adv Aires Rodrigues under the RTI Act by the Directorate of Information & Publicity.
As per the RTI information, the event was organised by the Directorate of Agriculture while the event management contract was entrusted to Taleigao-based Mirchi Republic Media Production.
As per the information furnished the expenditure incurred on that event includes an amounts spent on advertisements, on printing of invitations for the event, on seating arrangement for VVIPs and VIPs, hiring of chairs for the public, Rs 10.45 lakh just for floor carpeting, a whopping Rs 11.27 lakh spent on snacks while another Rs 5.50 lakh were spent on hiring tables for distribution of those snacks and more money was spent on High tea for VVIPs and VIPs.
A huge amount of Rs 16.31 lakh was spent on venue branding along with lakhs on housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness at the venue, cultural show and green rooms for the artists.
