MARGAO: The State government will soon launch a survey of persons with disabilities (PwD) in the State to collect basic data of PwDs. Information such as education qualifications, age, skill set of PwDs will be gathered through this survey. This was announced by Social Welfare Minister Subhash Phaldesai on Tuesday.
“This data is expected to come in handy while providing them government jobs,” said Phal Desai while addressing media persons.
The Minister added that the Rashtrapati Bhavan along with many States have taken cognisance of the highly successful Purple Fest in Goa and that the Rashtrapati Bhavan wishes to hold similar type of festivals, albeit on a smaller scale, on the lines of a mini Purple Fest.
