Panjim: Goa is gearing up to host the 2023 National Games, and preparations are well underway, with Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant personally inspecting the National Games venue at the Peddem sports complex. The complex is set to host a range of sporting events, including Hockey, Billiards, Snooker, Boxing, and Gymnastics. The Chief Minister assured that the necessary works would be completed by October 15 to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
The National Games 2023, scheduled to be held from October 26 to November 9, will feature an impressive 43 disciplines, making it one of the most diverse editions of the games. Dr. Sawant reiterated the state’s commitment to promoting sports tourism in Goa, emphasizing the importance of the event in showcasing the state’s sporting prowess to the nation.
