Goa Legislative Assembly’s Budget Session Scheduled to Commence on February 2: CM Sawant

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has officially announced the commencement of the Budget session for the Goa Legislative Assembly, slated to begin from February 2 onwards. Following a meeting of the state cabinet at Mantralaya on Thursday, Sawant disclosed the decision to convene the legislative session.

 During this upcoming session, the House is set to receive an address from the Governor, alongside the presentation of the State budget. Sawant also specified that the duration of the Budget session will be determined through consultations held within the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the legislative assembly. In the imminent assembly session, scheduled discussions encompass the passage of the financial statement for the fiscal year 2024-2025, as presented by the Chief Minister. The 40-member house is poised to address multifaceted issues, such as land conversions by the TCP department, Mhadei, unemployment, disaster management, law and order, and the intricacies of the mining sector.
