PANJIM: The Goa Meat Complex has filed a complaint against one Amrut Singh as well as Suraj Gawas, a Police Sub Inspector (PSI), for having trespassed into the premises of the Goa Meat Complex.
In the complaint, Dr Ramdas Naik a Senior Veterinary Officer of the Goa Meat Complex said that the intention of the trespassers was to “specifically meant to create a wrong impression and incite the sentiments of the public at large, with intent to create division and disharmony amongst the various communities.”
“One Amrut Singh from Animal Rescue Squad unauthorizedly trespassed into the Goa Meat Complex Ltd Factory premises at Usgao along with Suraj Gawas PSI Ponda at about 1600 hours on 16-5-2013 without any authority or obtaining prior permission,” the complaint to the DySP reads.
Amrut Singh, who runs the Animal Rescue Squad based out of Bicholim has, according to the complainant, carried with him a camera whereby he was indiscriminately taking photographs of the lairage and such other areas of the factory.
The complaint has been filed against the police officer for helping him and abetting his offence. The complaint comes a day after Amrut Singh filed a complaint with the Ponda police stating they had spotted several skulls of allegedly under-aged animals dumped at the GMC dumping site at the Marvasado-Usgao.
Attempts to contact Amrut Singh proved unsuccessful.
