Goa needs a political revolution: Min

MAPUSA: Ports Minister Michael Lobo said along with agriculture revolution, Goa also needs political revolution.

Addressing media persons at a manure distribution function organised by the Parra panchayat he said, “MLAs who have worked, will only get elected since people will choose those who have worked for them. Those who are not working are wasting time”, Lobo said.

“People must vote MLAs with wisdom and who will work for the betterment of common man and political parties should get MLAs who will actually work for their constituencies”, Lobo added.

Lobo also pointed out that there are many MLAs who haven’t worked during COVID as well as now during the cultivation season.

“It is the duty of the MLAs to make provision of ambulances, tractors and such services in their respective constituencies. Every panchayat must have its own ambulance and tractors. If government gives tractors to every panchayat phase-wise then in five years, all the fields in the State will be cultivated,” Lobo said.
