Goa Police record over 50 statements in Birch fire case

Goa Police has confirmed that over 50 statements have been recorded so far in the ongoing investigation into the Birch nightclub fire tragedy. These statements include accounts from government officials, staff members, witnesses present that night, and survivors who managed to escape. According to police, each statement is helping them build a clearer picture of what happened inside the club moments before the blaze turned deadly. Authorities also said they remain in constant coordination with central agencies as the deportation process of the Luthra brothers moves forward. Meanwhile, the custody of the brothers’ driver, Bharat Kohli, has been extended by six more days to allow police to continue questioning him. Investigators say more statements are expected in the coming days as they work to identify failures and responsibilities that may have led to the tragic incident.
