Goa records lowest number of deaths, positivity rate in 2 months

PANJIM: The daily COVID-19 positivity rate has dropped below ten per cent for the first time in over two months while the State recorded its lowest number of deaths in a day, in the last two months. The total number of active cases has also dropped below the 4,000 mark for the first time in over two months. 

On Thursday, Goa reported fewer than 255 cases for the second time in two and a half months. With 254 cases reported on June 17, the positivity rate now stands at 8.6 per cent.

468 persons recovered in that same period and the recovery rate is now at 95.85%.

226 persons were placed under home isolation, while 28 patients were hospitalised and 41 persons were discharged from various hospitals.

All of the six deceased  had comorbid conditions.
