Panaji: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has announced that the Goa government is fast-tracking the implementation of the Goa Ujjwala Yojana, with the application process scheduled to begin across all panchayats and municipalities from September 5, 2026.
Under the initiative, existing Griha Aadhaar and DSSS beneficiaries, as well as eligible applicants under the open category, can submit the required application forms and supporting documents to avail themselves of the scheme’s benefits.
The government said the process will be facilitated through local government offices across the state, allowing eligible households to apply closer to home.
The initiative is aimed at ensuring that eligible families can access the benefits of the Goa Ujjwala Yojana through a decentralised application process involving panchayats and municipal bodies.
