VASCO: South Goa MP Fransisco Sardinha emphasising that the Bars in the state should reopen now claimed that Goans drink responsibly and they don’t drink like a fish.
MP who was present during the inaugural function of an artifact reflecting Goan culture at Dabolim Airport stated that “Goans know to drink, we don’t overdrink “. While speaking to the press reporters he emphasized that Bars in the state should re-open now.
When asked about the re-opening of Bars, MP Sardinha said that Bars are a part of Goan culture and if hotels are open then why not the bars? He questioned.
Sardinha further stated that he has been pressing it from the beginning that if wholesale liquor outlets are open then why should not bars be reopened? The state government should take this issue with the centre. If I were in Delhi I would take this up with centre ” Sardinha mentioned.
Later, the Airport Director Gagan Malik who was present at the inaugural function of the artifact at the Airport terminal building said that as a policy all major airports were to have artwork done.
” We have highlighted Goan Culture and we will showcase major locations and cultures of Goa at the Dabolim Airport and install them at major spots in the airport ” said Malik
