Goa’s Scorching Climate, no Heat Wave Alert Issued

The state has been experiencing a temperature rise, with a recorded average of 33 to 34 degrees Celsius. In fact, in March two days were declared as a heat wave, with the temperature exceeding 37 degrees. However, according to the Meteorological Department, there have been no heat wave conditions till now, and the next 7 days are expected to be the same. But precautions must still be taken.

Nahush Kulkarni from Meteorological Department, further informed that Goa is likely to experience a similar climate in the next 7 days. This means that the residents and visitors of Goa must take necessary precautions to beat the scorching heat. The department has advised people to avoid going out between 11 am to 3 pm, as these are the hottest hours of the day. It is also essential to stay hydrated by drinking water regularly.

While the heat wave conditions may be a cause for concern, the good news is that there have been no reports of any heat wave in the coming seven days. This is a relief for the people of Goa and those planning to visit the state. However, it is crucial to keep in mind that the temperature can rise unexpectedly, so precautions must be taken at all times.
