MARGAO: The Curtorim Congress MLA, Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco has claimed that the Government of Goa is failing miserably to reach out to the woes of Goenkars and its latest misdemeanor is Goenkars not being issued survey plans and connected reports of survey.
“The VMM portal, which issues the survey plans and survey reports, has not been functioning since the end of last month. Goenkars, especially the elderly and those belonging to economically weaker sections of the society who are keen to obtain, survey plans and connected reports are not able to get this important documents,” said Reginaldo.
“And as a result, for the past three weeks, there is a chaotic situation with aggrieved people confronting officials in all the offices of Land Survey located in pan Goa,” he added.
“The Government of Goa has been a mute spectator and is doing nothing whatsoever to get the concerned attended as a priority. I am keen to know from the Manohar Parrikar government why for the past fortnight it has not been able to rectify the error in the VMM software?” asked Reginaldo.
“If the State cannot get VMM software defect rectified then the government’s so called IT plan of carving a niche for Goa in the digital sector of India is nothing but a white lie,” he quipped.
