VASCO: Goencho Avaaz Party on Thursday earnestly appealed to all voters in municipal constituencies, to mask up, keep a safe social distance, exercise all precautions and SoPs, and vote for the right candidate for the right reason.
In the press release issued, Captain Viriato Fernandes, State convener of Goencho Avaaz Party pointed out that this could be the first stepping stone in turning the tide and sending a clear message to the government that its maladministration is not acceptable to the people of Goa. “Despite the frustration and disappointment that we are all feeling, keep in mind that your vote can change the course of Goa’s destiny. The power is your hands,” said Fernandes.
“In fact the urban voter can be the first section of the Goan community to give the lead and rally to the cause of our homeland. This can be done by making the right choice for the right reason. And the right reason is not money – it is an efficient and educated candidate who will work for the people and the good of Goa. Don’t let your vote end up as endorsement for the current abysmal status quo. Remember, Goa needs you. Vote for a secure future. Vote for change” reads the release.
