Gold, cash burgled from Nuvem house

In a daring burglary, unknown miscreants barged inside a residential house at Nuvem last night and decamped with gold ornaments and cash, all valued over Rs 1.60 lakhs.
Maina Curtorim PI Sidhant Shirodkar informed that the incident took place last night when the inmates of the house were fast asleep. The miscreants effected entry into the house through the window and opened the cupboard after laying their hands on the keys.
Gold ornaments such as a necklace, bangles, rings, gold chains, bracelets, besides cash of Rs 12,000 was stolen the house.
PI Shirodkar and others rushed to Nuvem this morning after hearing the news, but sources in the know say that burglars had been active in Nuvem village for quite some time with the police unable to lay their hands on the miscreants.
In fact, the house of Police Inspector Edwin Colaco was burgled last year and the police are yet to detect the case till date.
