Case filed against water sports operator

The Colva police late last night registered an offense against the water sports operator from Cavelossim after a Mumbai-based girl came crashing down from a parachute on the beach last evening.
A case under section 280 and 338 of the IPC stands registered against the water sports operators and the police are on his look out in connection with the incident.
When contacted, Colva police said a team of Colva police had gone to the Margao-based hospital to record the statement of the victim girl, but the doctors said she he is fit to give any statement at this state.
The girl was critically wounded and was reported to have undergone major surgery after she sustained fractured leg injuries and injuries to her chin.
The incident had occurred on Saturday evening after the girl, who had come to attend the Goa Fest at the Cavelossim beach, fell down from the parachute from the height of around 200-300 meters.
The Colva police which had initially feigned ignorance about the incident later in the night registered an offense against the water sports operator.
