According to sources, Bihari woman who was walking on the road stretch at Vidyanagar near Yashodhan Hospital was approached by two men on a two-wheeler and told that a murder has taken place some blocks away for gold ornaments.
They advised her to remove her gold chain and wrap it in a paper, which the later snatched. Incidentally, two such incidents have been reported – one in Panjim and the other at Mapusa. In the Margao incident, the victim did not file a complaint.
