Gold chain stolen from Porvorim temple
PORVORIM (HC):?Burglars have stolen a gold chain placed on a deity at the Hanuman temple in Virlosa, near Porvorim.
In a police complaint, the Purohit of Hanuman temple stated that unknown persons entered the temple sometime between 9 am and 5 pm on Friday and stole the gold chain, worth Rs 10,000.
He claimed that the gold chain was present on the deity in the morning when he performed the pooja, but it was found missing in the evening. Porvorim police is investigating the case.
