MARGAO: Three persons including two women stole gold ornaments worth Rs 1.50 lakh from the showroom at Margao, on Friday.

According to the police, the accused entered the D Vera Gold and Silver Shop pretending to be customers and on the pretext of buying gold ornaments. They distracted the proprietor Yash Raikar and stole mangalsutra weighing 28 grams worth Rs 1.50 lakh.
Following a complaint, the police immediately pressed finger print experts and sniffer dog into service in a bid to obtain vital clues but in vain. The Margao Police have registered a case against three unknown persons under Section 380 read with 34 of IPC and are conducting investigations.
