VASCO: The Goa Customs on Sunday early morning seized 995 grams of gold worth Rs 28.62 lakh from Air India flight AI-994.
The gold was found from the safety jacket pouch below the passenger seat of Dubai-Goa-Bangalore Air India flight after its arrival at Dabolim International airport.
During the course of search, the custom officers found the gold from the safety jackets below the passenger seat. The officers enquired from the passenger who was allotted the seat and he confessed to smuggling of gold.
