A Karnataka-registered goods carrier was gutted in a fire that broke out in the early hours at Chorla Ghat. Fire and Emergency Services personnel from Valpoi swiftly responded to the incident and managed to bring the blaze under control.
Though the vehicle suffered extensive damage, with the loss estimated at around ₹5 lakh, there were no injuries reported.
