Goods worth Rs 3.5 lakh destroyed in Mapusa fire

PORVORIM: Goods worth Rs 3.5 lakh were destroyed in fire at Mapusa Municipal market in the wee hours of Sunday. According to Mapusa fire officials, they received a call at about 3 am on Sunday stating that goods kept by the roadside in Mapusa Municipal market caught fire. The fire officials along with the fire tender rushed to the site and  managed to extinguish the fire with an hour.
