MARGAO: On World Food Day, the Agriculture Minister Chandrakant Babu Kavlekar said that his department is putting in all efforts to make sure they create confidence among the agriculturists to get into farming and continue their work.
On the occasion, the Agriculture Minister was present with the Director of Agriculture Neville Alphonso and others at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Margao.

The Agriculture Minister said, “Our younger generation has started understanding and believing that they can make a better living through agriculture as their main profession. The Agriculture Department is putting in all efforts to make the farmers confident that they can make a respectful and good living with agriculture produce.”
He also said that to reduce the dependency of Goa for vegetables on the other States, the Agriculture Department is training people for pot and kitchen garden cultivation.
