Govt extends job scheme for freedom fighters children by 2 yrs

PANJIM: The State government on Wednesday extended employment schemes for freedom fighters children for further two years. The scheme which was implemented in August 2013 was valid up to February 2015 and later it was extended up to February 2017.

PANJIM: The State government on Wednesday extended employment schemes for freedom fighters children for further two years. 
The scheme which was implemented in August 2013 was valid up to February 2015 and later it was extended up to February 2017. The State cabinet resolved to extend the scheme by further two years since the government felt that the continuity of scheme is essential to bestow the benefits on children of freedom fighters registered with the department of Home.   
Cabinet has further authorized government to extend the validity of the scheme in future of required without referring the matter to council of ministers. The said scheme keeps reservation of two percent in the government employment in group A and B for the children of freedom fighters.
