PANJIM: The State government has notified the scheme to provide financial assistance to researchers, innovators, students, groups of students, etc, for carrying out research projects in the field of science and technology, publications of books etc in the field of science, technology and innovation.
Under the scheme, financial assistance of up to Rs 3 lakh will be granted for researcher and innovator and up to Rs 1.5 lakh for student or student groups.

In case of publishing of books an amount of up to Rs 1 lakh shall be sanctioned to each eligible applicant.
In case of Patent/Geographical Indication (GI) filing, the maximum grants to be sanctioned to GSCST shall not exceed Rs 10 lakh.
