The government has discontinued the D Ed programme at Sanjay School and has offered the more advanced B Ed programme in special education. The B Ed programme trains teachers to teach both regular and special children.

The two-year B Ed in special education course is being offered at the Dnyanvardhini Divyang Training College, Vasco and the establishment of a research centre is also in the offing to promote further studies in this area.
