MARGAO: In an interesting development on the controversial Colva circuit plan, the government has submitted before the National Green Tribunal that the construction of the Viewing Tower project in the coastal village could not go ahead in view of a fresh plan prepared by the Directorate of Survey and a part of the construction project falling within the 200 meters of the CRZ.
Adv for the State, Adv D Lawande has assured the NGT that he would produce a fresh plan which would be prepared.
Secretary Colva Civic and Consumer Forum Judith Almeida said that she had knocked the doors of the NGT since the viewing tower was in the NDZ.
