VASCO: The foundation stone for the new Bogmalo-Chicolna Village Panchayat will be laid within a month, Panchayat Minister Mauvin Godinho informed on Wednesday. Godinho said this after inaugurating an underground power cabling project at Bogmalo in the presence of Bogmalo-Chicolna Sarpanch Sankalp Mahale, panchayat members and others.
According to Godinho, the new panchayat ghar will be state-of-the-art with provision for many facilities. The panchayat office will be shifted to another premises after which the existing structure will be demolished, for the construction of the new panchayat ghar.

The Minister said, “There will be a direct underground power cables from Sancoale electricity sub-station to Dabolim Airport and Bogmalo and it will put an end to power cuts and improve the power supply to Bogmalo areas.” The government will also upgrade water supply in the entire Dabolim Constituency.
