In response to a starred question tabled by Digambar Kamat about the total expenditure govt incurred for hosting the festival last year, Milind Naik said the amount is around Rs 8.34 cr approximately, and may shoot up to Rs 12-13 crore.
“I will ask the ESG and get a report…all those who have submitted the bills for payment, we will ensure these are cleared within a few days. There are some who have not submitted their bills yet,” the minister said.
Besides, the expenditure incurred till date on the venues, construction of stage, sound and lights for cultural programs has been Rs 14.40 lakh. However, no amount has been paid for the cultural programmes, events and artists for IFFI 2013.
The government received sponsorship of Rs 36.26 lakh from the Bank of India, United Breweries Ltd and State Bank of India.
