Govt will collapse if Mickky is inducted: Joaquim

Urban Development Minister Joaquim Alemao has warned that the Congress MLAs and ministers would overthrow the Digambar Kamat government if people with tainted image are inducted into the ministry.
Speaking at the inauguration of a labour welfare centre at Borda-Fatorda on Thursday morning in the presence of GPCC general secretary Vijay Sardessai, Alemao said the group of 10 Congress MLAs have categorically conveyed to the High Command to maintain the status quo or else threatened to resign from the government.
“All the 10 Congress MLAs will not stay in the Kamat government if tainted persons make a comeback in the ministry. Those who have done injustice to any woman should not find a place in the Cabinet,” he thundered and vowed to dislodge the Kamat government and seek fresh mandate from the electorate.
The urban development minister appealed to the people of Fatorda to vote of the Congress candidate to usher in the all round development of the constituency. “Fatorda has missed the bus on the development front, while other constituencies have witnessed progress and development under the Congress rule”, he said, while asking the people of Fatorda to rally behind GPCC general secretary Vijay Sardesai for the development of the constituency. “Fatorda has been in the opposition for a long time new. You must have witnessed development in other constituencies ruled by the Congress. The time has come for you to think of the future”, he appealed.
In his address, the GPCC general secretary Vijay Sardessai said there was no worthwhile scheme for women in Fatorda constituency.
Sardessai said while the local MLA is only taking credit for initiating works, he and the Congress are proving to the people that they are working for their welfare.
Touching on the controversy surrounding the induction of Mickky Pacheco in the Kamat Ministry, Sardessai said that the time has now come for the society to keep away people with tainted image. He hoped that women should unite and take the lead to keep out tainted people from politics.
The labour welfare centre inaugurated at Borda is the 23rd centre opened in Goa in recent times.
