MARGAO: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) led by its South Goa District President held a protest on Tuesday evening in front of Ana Fonte Garden, Margao over the high fuel prices in the state.
A large number of protestors, who held placards and flags, demanded that the State as well as the Central government immediately reduce the fuel prices.
Pointing out how the Centre and the State have added to the cost of fuel in terms of tax and VAT respectively, Dias questioned why the BJP government is causing such a huge financial burden on the public. He further added businesses, especially the transport sector have been greatly affected as well.
