GSCW likely to seek report

Goa State Commission for Women (GSCW) is likely to seek investigation report from the Crime Branch into allegations by 11 Indonesian girls of being illegally detained by a Spa owner here.
GSCW Chairperson Ezilda Sapeco said that it may ask details of the case probe from the investigating agency – Crime Branch after the probe is complete.
“We are satisfied with the investigation being carried out by the Crime Branch. We would not like to intervene at this juncture but we may ask for details after the probe is complete,” she said.
The Indonesian Embassy, a week ago had written to Goa police that a Spa owner operating in Goa and Mumbai has allegedly withheld passports of 11 Indonesian girls forcing them to work under duress condition.
The girls had complained to the Embassy that the owner had seized their passports and residential permits. Following this, the Embassy shot a letter to Director General of Police Bhim Sain Bassi to probe into the allegations.
