MARGAO: Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has issued notices to Little Hearts hall in Curtorim to close/suspend operations.
The GSPCB stated that it had not granted consent to operate to the establishment, and an inspection carried out on March 14 indicated that the unit had not stopped activities, thereby operating in violation of the provisions of the Water and Air Act.
The Board has directed the South Goa Collector to seal the establishment immediately and submit a compliance report within 15 days.
Goa State Pollution Control Board has issued directions under Section 31 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Section 33 (A) of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974.
The notice was issued to Armando Barreto as the establishment was operating without obtaining consent from the Board.
