The Goa University has postponed all its examinations scheduled on July 5, 2010, to a later date which will be notified to all colleges separately.
GU Registrar M M Sangodkar said only the examinations of July 5 have been postponed on account of the bandh called to protest price rise. The examinations from the next day onwards will be held as per the original time table, he mentioned.
Sangodkar said the varsity had decided to postpone the examinations of the said date because it didn’t want students to face the consequences of the bandh. Secondly, he mentioned, holding re-examination for one student and hundred of these involved the same amount of work so why take the risk.
