GUIRDOLIM: Guirdolim village gram sabha on Sunday chaired by acting sarpanch Maura D’Costa debated on development works to be taken up by the village panchayat and decided to construct culvert as also develop pond and lakes in the village as per proposals submitted by the village development committee.
Minutes of the previous gram sabha and special gram sabha held in connection to the playground were read by the panchayat secretary Dinesh Amonkar. Villagers wanted to know the measures taken on the resolution to revoke the NOC for playground to which D’Costa informed that legal advice was sought in the matter and that a special gram sabha shall be convened..
Gram sabha members questioned how an NOC for a a project in Revora was given without gram sabha approval. D’Costa clarified that the NOC was given after inspection by panchayat body along with local residents. Gram sabha members took a resolution that panchayat body keep a check on the project by inspecting it from time to time along with ward committee members.
