PANJIM: In a bid to expedite the fixing of digital meters in taxis, the High Court of Bombay at Goa has asked Manesar, a Haryana-based International Center for Automotive Technology (ICAT), to examine samples of digital meters submitted by bidding companies and furnish a report at the earliest.
The companies that have bid for the tender have been asked to submit digital meter samples on June 12, while the next hearing is scheduled on July 3.
As many as 25,000 integrated devices with GPS/GPRS, digital fare meter, LCD display, receipt printer, panic button and rooftop display are required for the taxis in the States.
