PANJIM: Minister for Women & Child Development Vishwajit Rane on Wednesday took part in a web conference with the members of the ChildLine Committee constituted by Union Minister Smriti Irani. The interaction was regarding the functionality of ChildLine in times of COVID-19.
“I shared my inputs with the members and received valuable suggestions from other members as well. We have made necessary requests that will strengthen the helpline services. We look forward to integrating these suggestions to build a robust plan for protecting the interest of the children in our country,” Rane wrote in his social media post, as he termed the discussion as ‘excellent’.
The Ministry has been holding various sessions including workshops, online even as discussion with ministers and officials from various states are also held via video/web conferencing.
