PANJIM: The Director of Panchayat on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of the alleged illegal bungalow near protected monument at Old Goa to June 15 for arguments over the reply to the intervention petition.
The appellant M/s Corvus Urban Infrastructure was suppose to furnish a copy of his reply to the intervention application filed by AAP leader Adv Amit Palekar in advance. However, the petitioner gave the copy a few minutes before the hearing to Adv Palekar even as the latter showed his readiness to argue the matter.
So far three intervention petitions have been filed in the case where the interveners are opposing the construction of a structure within the buffer zone of UNESCO World Heritage at Old Goa. The Save Old Goa Heritage Action Group and local villagers are the other interveners.
