Heavy rains in State for next four days: IMD

PANJIM: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Goa observatory has warned of heavy rains in the State for next four days. Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea during the period. 
IMD in its bulletin issued on Sunday has said thundershowers accompanied by lightning and gusty wind are likely at isolated places across the State on Monday, followed by heavy rains from October 22 to 24. 
Due to rough weather conditions, fishermen are asked not to venture into Sea, more particularly deep sea. 
After surplus monsoons, the post-monsoon showers are also 33 percent above normal. 
As on date that is from October 1 to 20, State has recorded 170.1 mm of post-monsoon rains as against the average 128mm. 
On October 19, State recorded highest rainfall almost above 45 mm.
