Herald Education Expo underway

MARGAO: The two-day Herald Education Expo at Ravindra Bhavan conference hall was inaugurated on Saturday by Chairman of Ravindra Bhavan Prashant Naik who while complimenting Herald for its 7th edition of this very helpful programme said students and their parents get to know the educational facilities available in and around Goa.
He also appreciated that there were stalls helping people with education overseas and pointed out that a large number of Goans including his own daughter were studying in Europe at present and he went around visiting some of the stalls and expressed surprise that Tata Institute of Social Service was available in Goa.
Principal of Pilar High School Fr Fredrick Rodrigues while appreciating the exposition for giving information on one platform suggested that some counseling and career guidance could also be added to the programme.
Eighteen institutes from Bangalore, Pune, Belgaum, Mangalore and Goa have set up stalls besides there are two stalls by institutes helping students with overseas studies. 
There are four hotel management institutes participating including V M Salgaonkar that sends students to Portugal for internship and International Institute of Hotel Management that has 10 institutes in India and planning to open another in Doha shortly.
The exhibition will be open on Sunday also from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm.
